Expert English Exam Tuition Online and Face to Face
Triple E Tutoring
How It Works
No need to leave home - you just need a laptop or a tablet, an email address and a connection to Zoom (which is free).
Getting Started
Contact me via e-mail or phone and I'll respond within 24 hours. I will set up a 15 minute face to face meeting with you and your child via Zoom so that I can find out everything I need to know and you can ask questions. It would be helpful if you can tell me your child's current working grades and target grades in English and which exam board syllabus they will be following. For English Literature, I need to know which texts they are studying. If your child is Key Stage 3, we'll agree an appropriate programme of study.
What Happens Next?
If you're happy to proceed, we can agree on dates and times for tutoring sessions. Please note that there are discounts available for block bookings. I will send an invoice to you via email for payment by BACS, which needs to be paid in full 48 hours prior to the first tutoring session. Upon payment, I will forward a Zoom link for the first session and will send further links for the following sessions prior to the agreed times. A regularly monitored e-mail address is essential, as this will also be used to send out any supplementary materials.
The First Session
When you log into Zoom using the link I will send to you, I will be waiting so that you can access the meeting. During the first session, we will review what you are confident on and what you need to work on, which will inform the content of subsequent sessions. We will start with the first English Language paper (unless we are focusing on an English Literature re-sit or Key Stage 3).
Subsequent Sessions
These will focus on past exam papers, sample papers and exam style questions using modelling, questioning, review and improvement of responses for GCSE or follow an agreed programme of study for Key Stage 3.
